In order to promote multiple disciplines crossing and accelerate information and original innovation in all disciplines, our institute will create a professional big data center. By using internet and cloud computing technology, we connect the relevant schools and research institute inside and outside the college, and intelligent manufacturing enterprises, and build information, networking, intelligent collaborative innovation platform, which collect multi-physics experimental characterization, real-time monitoring, theoretical modeling, multi-scale simulation, scientific big data processing and analysis. Given the differences in the mass of scientific data from experimental measurements, calculations and literature databases, the collaborative innovation platform will rationally use flash memory, disk, and tape to form a hybrid storage, in order to form a modular, sustainable expansion to the scale of more than one hundred PB, and have the ability to grade, back up, and manage "cold" and "hot" scientific data. The resulting intelligent manufacturing big data cloud platform will be a infrastructure with the ability to efficiently analyze, apply, and visualize PB-level science and engineering big data.
The big data center of artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, and syberspace technology will interconnect the national supercomputer center in Guangzhou and other national data center interconnection, achieve science big data platform and high performance computing platform interoperability, and provide cloud computing infrastructure services to the eight research affiliates and two centers of research institute and cooperative enterprises. We will provide cloud storage, cloud computing and other infrastructure services based on the big data center and by using the large-scale distributed storage and cloud computing technology, which support the related application and function. The cloud computing infrastructure of the institute of intelligent manufacturing engineering in Guangzhou university will become a professional service platform, which provide services to the manufacturing industries and provide support to industrial enterprises, who will achieve intelligent manufacturing based on cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence. In order to ensure the stable operation of the big data center of the institute, we will continuously strengthen construction of the capacity of internet information security, complete the full construction of cloud computing security system, and establish a complete information security operating environment and maintenance management system.
