Our purpose is to build a world-leading, intelligent-manufacturing-driven, collaborative innovation community composed of industry, university, research institute, government, financial department, and internet company, which ultimately makes Guangzhou to be a city of innovation, ecology and culture. To this end, we follow key national strategies of innovation-driven development and the Belt and Road Initiative, and put into practice two national actions, Internet Plus, Made in China 2025, guided by the new development philosophy of “innovation, harmony, green, opening and sharing”. Specifically, we rely on disciplinary crossing and integration, and simultaneously promote digital, networking, intelligent manufacturing. Furthermore, we especially support a comprehensive development of Guangzhou through scientific and technological innovation,  industrial transformation and upgrading, resource-sharing, training, etc. The institute will be rooted in Guangzhou, but serves the whole country and cities along the Belt and Road Initiative, leading Guangzhou to become the first intelligent city in China.
